How to use Grindr:

  1. Launch Grindr
  2. View the guys around you (the nearest guys appear first)
  3. Tap a photo to check out his profile, photo, and stats
  4. Tap ‘Chat’ to start a private instant message conversation
  5. Tap ‘More’ to send more pictures, your location on a map, or to block him

Get the most out of Grindr:

  • Gold border - View how your profile looks to others.
  • Blue border - Active ongoing chat conversation.
  • Green dot - He is online and ready to chat and maybe meet now.
  • Yellow star - He is one of your favorites and will always appear in Grindr.
  • Load More Guys button - View more guys near you.
  • Double-tap a thumbnail photo to skip a profile and start chatting immediately.
  • Single-tap a thumbnail for profile info.
  • Cascade Swipe - Swipe left or right to change your cascade view.
  • Profile Swipe - Using Grindr Xtra, swipe your finger left or right to display the next or previous Grindr guy. You can also toggle quicker by adding Rapid Swipe based on the speed of your data connection (those connecting via Edge are recommended to toggle Rapid Swipe off).
  • Push Messaging - Using Grindr Xtra, receive messages sent to you from Grindr guys even when you aren’t signed into Grindr.
